Bengali Home made Rosogolla/Rasgulla

Y ou know people were telling me you started a food blog with others recipe, true! So here I present something of my own. Obviously it is not unique and is very common in Youtube videos yet many people think its tough! I too thought before hand but now whenever milk gets shredded in my house it turns into Rosogolla :) Let me share this easy recipe with you: Rosogolla/Rasgulla Ingredients: Milk -500ml Lemon/Vinegar -1/4 th Maida or Atta - 1/2 tablespoon(for binding) Sugar - 1/2 cup Water - 1/2 a vessel A piece of dry cotton cloth . Recipe: First  of all if your milk has not got shredded then shred it with either adding lemon or vinegar and boil it well turning into Chena or paneer . Let it cool and  strain the water from it. Take a clean piece of cotton cloth add the Chena or paneer to it and folding the cloth round and round squeeze out all the water from it until it gets totally dry(squeeze it dry as much as you can else it will taste like paneer only). Stuffed Brinjal(Bharwa Baingan)

M ost of us find brinjals boring so my Aunt has found a recipe to make the brinjal tastier and interesting. So here I bring a recipe from Mrs Mita Mandal 's recipe list who being a modern passionate cook makes every recipe wonderful with her inventions. Stuffed Brinjal: Ingredients: Brinjal Onion Garlic Mustard oil Turmeric Red chilly powder Cumin powder Coriander powder Curd Salt to taste Sugar to taste Recipe: Wash the brinjals thoroughly and then slit from the middle. Cut out the inner part(flesh) of the brinjal make it empty. Keep the flesh of the brinjal aside. Mix the brinjal with salt. Now grind the onion , garlic and the flesh of brinjal which we kept aside earlier into a paste. Now take a cooking pot put two spoons of mustard oil in it. Now pour the paste in it and cook well. A nother Recipe from my Mom's recipe list which will make your every taste bud sound Umma! I bet. Although the procedure is a little time consuming but the result is really worth it. Not taking much time let me share the recipe for: Special Rajma: Special Rajma Ingredients: (For 4 people) Red Rajma seeds(soaked over night)-100 gm Tomato sauce/Tomatoes(I have used here Maggi hot and spicy tomato sauce) Green Chillies -2  Onion -1 big Ginger- 10 gm Garlic- 10 gm Coriander(Dhania) powder- 1 spoon Cumin(Jeera) powder- 1 spoon Coriander leaves Mustard oil Salt to taste If adding tomato then Sugar is to be added to get a balanced taste. Well summer brings happiness too, it bring with it the sweet juicy tasty fruits!  In this post I am going to share two tasty and unique recipes specially for summer. So I have decided to share an interesting and easy recipes for you to cook this quarantine. Well I won't lie but I got the recipe from an old friend of mine, an Upcoming advocate and a passionate cook Ritika Kurmy! So Tadaaa....     Paneer Butter Masala! Paneer Butter Masala Ingredients: Paneer 200 gm Refine oil Onions-1 large tomatoes-2 small Milk- 100 ml Butter 2 Teaspoons Dry milk (Khoya or Mawa) Cashew nuts - 10 gm Salt to taste Few coriander leaves. Procedure: Cut paneer into cubes and keep aside. Chop the onion and tomatoes.  In a pan add oil, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, cashew nuts and salt. Fry till the tomatoes become soft! Never ending Lockdown seeming to be imprisonment with passing days?!

P erhaps this is the first time humans get the feeling of being in a cage! That too for our own security.  Its been around one and half months of Lockdown due to COVID 19 in India. And the lockdown seems never ending. Perhaps once in a lifetime we have faced such a never ending lockdown. Not even our Grandparents or their Grand parents have faced such a situation in their lives in history. Is it true that we were never been caged? Well let me put some points to begin the debate : What about the prisoners?  What about a section of females? Yes, so human have been imprisoned before also. What has not come to our notice is their mental health! This is the first time a mass of people together getting the taste of being locked up . How is it feeling? Let me share some experiences.
