Rosogolla/Rasgulla |
Ingredients:
- Milk -500ml
- Lemon/Vinegar-1/4 th
- Maida or Atta- 1/2 tablespoon(for binding)
- Sugar- 1/2 cup
- Water - 1/2 a vessel
- A piece of dry cotton cloth.
Recipe:
- First of all if your milk has not got shredded then shred it with either adding lemon or vinegar and boil it well turning into Chena or paneer .
- Let it cool and strain the water from it.
- Take a clean piece of cotton cloth add the Chena or paneer to it and folding the cloth round and round squeeze out all the water from it until it gets totally dry(squeeze it dry as much as you can else it will taste like paneer only).
- Now on a plate take out the dry Chena and add to it 1/2 teaspoon of atta or maida(Do not add more than this, its only for binding purpose).
- Now knead it well atleast for 10 mins(The more you knead the more it will get fluffy).
- Now make out small balls out of the dow.
- Take a vessel and fill it half with water. Now add sugar and boil it until it reduces into 3/4 th.
- Add the paneer balls into it and let it boil covering with a lid for about 20 minutes.
- When you see the balls are fluffy enough and are ultimately not floating but got sunken into the sugar syrup....Tadaa! your Rasogolla/Rasgulla is ready to be served!
Do try at home and I bet you will love it! Healthy as well as quick recipe! No need to go to the shop to buy Rasgulla any more this lockdown!
